Moving from iOS to Android is not easy as many apps are not the same from one operating system to another. But now that transition is a little easier. Google has launched a new app in the App Store that aims to do just that: to make the transition from iOS to Android easier.
‘Switch to Android’ is Google’s new app to let iPhone users Switch to Android and you can migrate your contacts, events, photos and videos.
Apple has ‘Move to iOS’ app since 2015, now comes ‘switch to Android’ as a reverse response. It’s an app that has been rumored for several years and is now officially available on the Apple app store.
Migration to Android is only available in the App Store For iPhone from iOS 12.0. As explained, with this app we can quickly move our most important data from iPhone to a new Android device using WiFi without wires.
The application is particularly useful for importing contacts from iOS calendar to Google, events from Apple calendar to Google Calendar and From pictures stored in iCloud to Google Photos. Videos too.
The process is simple. Before moving to the new Android mobile, we will install this application on the iPhone and activate some kind of backup. Then when we start the Android mobile phone, the system will detect this data we have on iPhone via a QR code.
Another aspect that the app takes into account is about messages. Switching to Android will ask us to disable iMessage so that we can receive all SMS.
Currently, the Google app does not allow the registration of third-party apps we have installed. Predictably for a security and privacy issue.
