In the report, Tesla states that in the past three months – from July to September – the company has produced 19,935 cars from the more expensive Model S and X and 345,988 cars from the more popular Model 3 and Y.
Musk’s company’s total production increased from the second quarter of 2022, when Tesla said it produced 258,580 vehicles.
The company managed to deliver a total of 343,000 electric cars in the third quarter of this year. At the same time, analysts were expecting at least 364,660 electric car deliveries. As before, Tesla did not disclose data on the production and delivery of cars separately by region.
In July of this year, it was noted that Tesla had to temporarily suspend most of the production at the factory in Shanghai in order to modernize the plant. However, the company’s production and deliveries in China resumed in August.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Tesla company is recalling about 1.1 million vehicles in the US due to an issue with window regulators.
