Bad news for those waiting for two of Supercell’s games in development: Everdale and Clash Quest, as the company itself has confirmed. abandoning the development process by expiring. Neither had yet been officially released: Supercell kept them as a controlled release while polishing their code.
Few video game developers combine critical and download success for all of their products, Supercell is a valuable industry case study. Already famous for the legendary Clash Royale and with a portfolio that includes gems like Clash of Clans and Hay Day, Supercell is revealing its future in a handful of new titles: Trio of video games Clash and EverdaleA kind of evolution of Hay Day himself. Unfortunately, not all of them will reach the end of their development.
Everdale joins Clash Quest: Supercell cancels them
The Scandinavian development company, owned by Tencent Chinese, has kept four games active in one dropper that it plans to release globally. The Clash series aimed to be completed with three video games: Clash Quest, Clash Mini and Clash Heroes. Also, Supercell developed Everdale to offer a much slower gaming experience away from giants, witches and baby dragons.
Two of the four games in development have already fallen from Supercell’s portfolio: the company announced today, Oct. This game comes in addition to the lowest tier of Clash Quest, a game that was canceled in mid-August.
All Everdale and Clash Quest users will lose their game and progress. Supercell offers the option to transfer purchases made in games to other company titles; as long as they’re up and running globally (Clash Heroes and Clash Mini don’t count). Everdale servers will be permanently shut down on October 31, 2002; Those in Clash Quest came out on September 28.
Supercell did not give an explanation as to why both games were canceled. Strangely enough, we were able to test both Clash Quest and Everdale, and they both worked perfectly. Maintained a gaming experience with abundant quality. Presumably, the two teams that no longer have games in-key will be part of the rest of the developments, possibly Clash Mini and Clash Heroes.
