Graphic Design Intel Arc A750 and Arc A770 they’re just around the corner, so it’s time to see how they’ll perform. Thanks to Benchleaks, it looks like the top-performing model will fulfill its goal of being a direct competitor to the GeForce RTX 3060, or at least that’s what the synthetic tests performed by the leaker show.

The leak used Intel Arc A750 and Arc A770 graphics along with an Intel Core i9-12900KS processor and 32GB of DDR5-6400 RAM mounted on an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard. Wccfetch took the obtained results and compared them to those produced by the RTX 3060 Ti, standard RTX 3060, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, RX 6600 XT some time ago, taking the results obtained using the OpenCL and Vulkan APIs.

Compared with volcanomade using Geekbench 5, it can be seen that The Intel Arc A770 holds close to the RTX 3060 with a score of 73,636 points, while the NVIDIA model scored 74,485 points at the time.. The Arc A750 scored 66,609 points in the same test, beating out, not by much, the RX 6600 XT, which scored 64,460 points.

In the test with OpenCLa much less used API in home environments The Intel Arc A770 manages to slightly outperform the standard RTX 3060, scoring 99,482 points compared to its rival’s 96,416., so the blue giant graph is about 3% higher on that front. The Arc 750 more or less repeats the scenario seen with the Vulkan as it scored 88,828 points compared to the RX 6600 XT’s 82,559, roughly 8% faster.

As for reference prices, which may vary for the Eurozone (and thus paint a very different scenario), the RX 6700 XT costs US$379 compared to the Intel Arc A770’s US$349. On the other hand, the Intel Arc A750 is priced at $289 to the RX 6650 XT’s $299. Here, in addition to the ratio of performance and price, aspects such as technological maturity must be considered, where Radeon, at least for now, is clearly ahead of Intel.

As we can see, Intel seems to have at least partially met expectations with several benchmarks, but things can change a lot when it is transferred to a real world scenario and not only for performance problems, but also for other types of malfunctions.

Finally, it is important to note that the tests were performed on Windows 11, which Linux users should take into account, since ANV, the Vulkan driver included in Mesa, still needs to improve a lot to be a worthy rival for RADV and the official NVIDIA Driver.
