Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Security Service’s cyber experts have neutralized about 3,500 cyberattacks on electronic systems and critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine’s central authorities.

This is stated in the SBU’s message, reports Ukrinform.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported that out of three and a half thousand cyber threats identified, 1,650 cyber threats were detected in “real-time” mode. Ukrainian Security Service.

It was found that the vast majority of Russian attacks were aimed at either destroying digital services or destabilizing the work of strategically important businesses in the energy and transport sectors.

Russian special services and hacker groups controlled by them are involved in organizing and conducting such sabotage.

Thus, the Security Service in the Poltava region neutralized a group of hackers acting in the interests of the Russian Federation. The attackers planned to carry out a series of powerful cyber-attacks on the electronic systems of government agencies and energy facilities.

The criminal group included four hackers specializing in conducting DDoS attacks on digital information sources.

For this, they received money through the prohibited payment systems of the Russian Federation.

However, the cyber units of the SBU uncovered this plan at the preparatory stage, identified the Russian organizers and immediately detained the “enforcers”.

Another hacker group was neutralized in Lviv. At the behest of the invaders, hackers massively hacked the active accounts of Internet users from Ukraine and the European Union. In this way, they gained access to the personal data of citizens.

According to the investigation, the attacker allegedly used hacked accounts on behalf of ordinary people to spread misinformation about the socio-political situation in Ukraine and the EU.

At this time, the organizer of the pro-Kremlin hacker group was notified of suspicion and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.

Comprehensive measures are being taken to bring all guilty parties to justice for all the revealing facts of subversive activities against Ukraine.

Russia is preparing massive cyberattacks on critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine and its allies, as Ukrinform reported at the end of September, citing the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
