Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has suffered 362 cyberattacks.
As Ukrinform reports, the State Special Communications Service reports in a Telegram.
According to the Government Emergency Response Team CERT-UA, operating under the auspices of the State Special Service, Ukraine suffered 362 cyberattacks during 1.5 months of the war. This is three times more than in the same period last year: 122 cyber attacks were recorded.
More than half of all attacks were carried out to gather information or spread malicious code.
The main targets of hostile hackers include the Ukrainian government and local authorities, the security and defense sector, and commercial organizations.
As Ukrinform reported, the government’s computer emergency response team, CERT-UA, operating under the auspices of the State Special Communications Service, warned that dangerous XLS documents, called “Mobilization Register.xls”, are widely circulated among Ukrainian citizens.
When you open the document, the malicious program IcedID, also known as BankBot, will be launched on your computer. It belongs to the class of “Banking Trojans” and allows, among other things, theft of authentication data.
