Google Japan has just released a non-traditional PC keyboard. 1.60 m long, the stripe-shaped peripheral places all the traditional keyboard keys in one row. O gboard panel promises to make typing easier, but seems to do just the opposite.
Google makes search and maps more exciting
The project does exist, but apparently more Google Japan developers joke than something really serious. According to those responsible for the project, the giant keyboard is ideal for desks with little space, it is easier to clean and there is less risk of “cat stepping on” it.
Super keyboard to turn off the lights or go camping
Gboard can still be used in many different ways. Due to its size, the developers claim that the peripheral is ideal for pairing, fostering friendships at work – imagine the chaos of paired typing, and the result should be the opposite.
In addition, the introductory video shows how the keyboard is used in various ways. They seem to work better than the original intent of the device. You can Use Gboard to measure your kids’ height, improve their balance, turn off the lights without leaving your chair, or even as a walking stick for long walks.. Another standout feature is the ability to attach a net at the end to turn the keyboard into a bug net.
The universal design offers a lot of possibilities for use, but using it when typing should be a nightmare. This idea is clearly a joke on the part of Google Japan developers. Nonetheless, all specifications are available on Github, so anyone can build their own 1.60m keyboard if they have a 3D printer. In addition, the design of Google Japan is customizable, allowing the user to place the key configuration as they wish.
