As Ukrinform reports, this became known during NASA’s online publication.
The Falcon 9 launch vehicle was launched from the spaceport in Cape Canaveral, Florida (USA) on Wednesday, October 5, at 7:00 PM Kyiv time.
Space.com states that there are four astronauts in the capsule – Americans Nicole Mann and Josh Kassada (NASA), Japanese Koichi Wakata (Japan Aviation Research Agency) and Russian Anna Kikina (Roscosmos).
Dragon is expected to dock with the International Space Station on Friday night with a crew of astronauts as part of the Crew-5 mission.
The previous Crew-4 mission arrived at the ISS in late April.
As Ukrinform reported, at the end of September, SpaceX and NASA delayed the launch of the Crew-5 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) with astronauts due to Hurricane Yan approaching Florida, where the spaceport is located.
