Tesla broke the record for delivering cars in its electric board

In a recent report released by Tesla, the tech giant revealed that it broke the record for the most vehicles produced in a single quarter in the company’s history.. From July to September, 365,923 electric vehicles were built.

The number shows an increase of 54% over the same period last year.. At the time, Tesla produced “only” 237,823 electric vehicles. Production also showed an increase compared to the other period of this year. In the second quarter, the automaker built 258,580 vehicles, down 41.5% from the previous quarter..

However, not all models produced by Tesla were supplied by the automaker. This is because about 343,000 electric vehicles had a destination. While that number is high and production is the highest in the company’s history, it is below what Wall Street financial analysts had expected, who believed more than 364,000 vehicles would be delivered.

“As our production volumes continue to rise, it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure vehicle capacity and at a reasonable cost during these peak logistics weeks,” Tesla said in a statement released on the company’s balance sheet for the latest quarter.

Factories in Berlin and Texas helped with production

Even falling short of what a group of analysts expected, Tesla managed to bounce back significantly compared to the previous quarter. At the time, the company was forced to suspend operations at a factory in Shanghai, China due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the region.

Tesla factories opened in Berlin, Germany and Texas, USA, have helped the automaker keep a large number of electric vehicles. More results will be released later this month on October 19, with more complete data pertaining to the third quarter financial report.
