According to a study by Atlas VPN, the popular Google Chrome browser is the most vulnerable browser in 2022.
According to the study, 303 vulnerabilities were discovered in Google’s browser in 2022, compared to 3159 in Chrome’s entire history, compared to 117 and 2361 in Mozilla Firefox, respectively. 103 vulnerabilities were detected in Microsoft Edge this year, compared to 806 vulnerabilities detected this year. This is because Microsoft’s browser is the youngest browser in the study, released in 2015.
The fourth place was taken by the Safari browser from Apple – in 2022 26 vulnerabilities were discovered in it, and always – 1139.
The most secure browser was Opera – no vulnerabilities were detected from Jan 1 to Oct 5, 2022. At the same time, only 344 vulnerabilities were discovered during Opera’s 27 years of existence.
