A report from South Korea now says that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series will also be delayed. The company’s next-generation premium tablets were originally scheduled to launch in December 2022. As the global COVID-19 pandemic is about to end, demand for IT products around the world has begun to decline. Samsung planned to launch 33.6 million tablets in 2022. However, due to low demand, the company may not be able to fulfill its plan.

DSCC (Display Supply Chain Advisors) predicts that the overall tablet market will shrink 8% this year. However, the premium tablet category (OLED and Mini LED) is expected to grow by 22%.

As such, Samsung is said to have a new plan for its next-generation flagship tablets. The Galaxy Tab S9 series will reportedly have three models, just like the Galaxy Tab S8 series. In other words, there will be a vanilla model, a plus version and an ultra variant. The last two will have an OLED panel, while the first will have an LCD screen.
