Windows 11 was installed on less than two percent of Microsoft-based computers. This was reported by Digital Trends.
Journalists refer to the report of the analytical company Lansweeper, in which the share of Windows 11 in the operating system market from Microsoft is 1.44 percent. It turned out that the current operating system is even ahead of the old Windows XP, which took a share of 1.71 percent. XP was released in 2001.
The market leader remains Windows 10 with a share of 80.34 percent. Below is Windows 7 with a 4.7 percent share. According to Lansweeper, data was retrieved from 30 million Windows devices from 60,000 organizations worldwide.
According to journalists, the slow speed of Windows 11 may be due to the complexity of upgrades and limitations. In particular, the operating system is not common among enterprise customers, as the transition to a new system forces consumers to purchase new computers.
The authors also refer to the AdDuplex report, which shows that Windows 11’s share is approaching nine percent. “How both companies arrived at the relevant figures and why there is such a large difference between reports remains unclear,” the experts said.
