The companies have expressed “increasing public concern” over the use of robots by police and testing by special forces in recent months.

For this purpose, the industry group undertakes not to use its general purpose robots with increased mobility or the software they have developed for military purposes. In addition, the signatories emphasized that they will not support others on this issue.

“We are also committed to exploring the development of technological features that can mitigate or mitigate these risks,” the group said. At the same time, the signatories added that they “do not object to the existing technologies that countries and government agencies use to protect and maintain their laws.”

The companies are also urging politicians and the rest of the robotics community to make similar commitments.
