Experts of the national telecom operator “Kyivstar” built 302 new mobile communications base stations between January and August 2022, and updated and modernized 5,500 working base stations.
The company’s press service informed Ukrinform about this.
It was noted that the company continues the construction of a 4G network throughout the territory controlled by Ukraine to ensure the stable operation of communication and Internet services.
In 2022, Kyivstar invested about UAH 1.7 billion in the construction and development of telecom infrastructure in Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, Kyivstar’s telecom engineers are restoring mobile communications in the occupied territories and improving the functioning of the network throughout Ukraine. Thanks to their efforts, in general, 93% of the company network works in Ukraine.
Kyivstar is Ukraine’s largest electronic communications operator, serving 24.8 million mobile subscribers and more than 1.2 million “Home Internet” subscribers as of June 2022. The company offers a wide range of mobile and fixed technologies-based services, including 4G.
