HTC is preparing to release a new virtual reality (VR) headset.. This Thursday (06) the company posted a small teaser on their Twitter page, accompanied by the words “Go small or go Home”. Jokingly, the manufacturer hinted that the advertising refers to more compact glasses than competitors like Meta (owner of Facebook and Oculus Quest).
In response to other tweets, the company confirmed the information, stating that it’s a big launch, but “small” glasses in terms of physical size.
It is worth noting that last year HTC developed the Vive Flow glasses model for VR (Virtual Reality). It brought a more relaxed look, almost reminiscent of sunglasses. His suggestion was precisely to bring more comfort for usersto win over people who have not yet adapted to VR technologies.
The product enters the international market at a price of 499 US dollars.
In fact, the HTC Vive Flow was the first glasses developed by Project Proton, an internal division of HTC opened in 2020.
The ads are assumed to be associated with the same team. and that the new HTC Vive is an evolution of the Flow model.this time more stable and with an expanded ecosystem, according to The Verge.
Virtual reality technology is making a comeback in 2023. Just a few weeks ago Sony has revealed more details about PlayStation VR 2PlayStation 5, confirming its launch early next year.
ByteDance, the company that owns TikTok, also announced the Pico VR headset, indicating strong demand in the segment. Behind the scenes, there are signs that Apple plans to release its own VR headset by 2024.
Finally, we have the Mark Zuckerberg Meta. The company is announcing Meta Quest Pro (aka Project Cambria) on October 11th.. The headset is reported to have top-notch settings specifically for those looking to play in VR. Stay tuned here at Connected World for more news coming soon!
