Xiaomi company unexpectedly presented the Redmi Writingpad – something like a digital notebook that looks like a child’s toy. Judging by the images, this gadget is designed for the younger generation.

Redmi Writingpad is an electronic board for drawing with a complete pen that supports various degrees of effort. The 8.5-inch screen itself is black and the stylus writes in cyan. At the bottom of the device is a single button that clears the drawing screen. However, there is also a scroll lock that blocks this delete button.

The gadget is powered by a replaceable CR2016 round battery, thanks to itself and its plastic case, the novelty weighs only 90 grams. According to official statements, one battery is enough for 20,000 drawings.

Redmi Writing Book has been introduced in the Indian market and is already on sale. Its standard price is Rs 1,999 (about $24), but in the first days of sale, the novelty is offered at a 70% discount for just Rs 599 (about $7). It is worth noting that Xiaomi has already launched a similar gadget under the name of its main brand Mi – LCR Writing Tablet, but with its 13.5-inch screen and different design, it does not appeal to children much.
