Just a few weeks ago, Microsoft released a new version of the Xbox controller, the Mineral Camo version, but a completely new controller design has already been released. The newly announced Xbox Lunar Shift Special Edition wireless controller is the second entry in the “Shift” series on the updated list of Xbox Series X|S controllers, following the Aqua Shift in 2021.

The controller has a smoky color scheme that looks like silver or gold depending on how the light hits it. The front knobs, knobs, bumpers and triggers are glossy white, while the rubber grips also feature a unique gray and black design.

As the next-generation wireless Xbox controller, it features a customizable Share button in the middle and a USB-C port on the front for recording and social events. A 3.5mm stereo headphone jack at the bottom, battery compartment and multi-device recognition are also among the features.

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Lunar Shift Special Edition is available now for $69.99 at the Microsoft Store and retail stores. The controller supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, computers and mobile devices.

Like most other Special Edition controllers, Microsoft has teamed up with Razer to offer an officially licensed universal fast charging stand that uses the same materials and color scheme as the Lunar Shift controller. The charging stand is also available now in the Microsoft Store for $49.99.
