Vodafone Turkey has signed a partnership with Qwilt and Cisco in the field of Content Distribution Network (CDN). Content producers who prefer the Content Distribution Network service offered with this partnership will bring a better experience to millions of subscribers of live broadcasting, social media and streaming platforms in Turkey.

Operating with the vision to lead the digitization of Turkey, Vodafone continues to offer value-added services to its customers. Vodafone Turkey partnered with Qwilt and Cisco companies in Content Delivery Network technology. Content producers who prefer the Content Distribution Network service offered with this partnership will bring a better experience to millions of subscribers of live broadcasting, social media and streaming platforms in Turkey. With this service, end users are offered a new Internet experience through lower website latency, faster downloads, and a more uninterrupted live video experience.

Vodafone Turkey, as a result of its global partnership with Cisco and Qwilt, will use Qwilt’s Content Distribution Network solution to create a layer technology that delivers media and applications to subscribers from the closest source and facilitates content caching. The partnership will enable Vodafone Turkey to grow rapidly while offering innovative digital services and experiences, including media and website.

High Connectivity Experience

The project will come to life with the establishment of new service-specific connection points in Vodafone’s data centers in Turkey, which will be made available to content producers. Content producers will be able to provide direct access to the company’s mobile and fixed customers by connecting to the Content Distribution Network connection points in Vodafone’s data centers. In addition, they get access to a cloud platform where they can finalize their end-user content within Turkey. In this way, content producers will offer their customers in Turkey a connection experience with much lower latency and higher performance, while mobile and fixed customers of Vodafone Turkey will experience this content with good performance.
