NVIDIA has released a new Game Ready driver. At first we might think that this is a new driver that aims to support the GeForce RTX 4090, but the truth is that it is much more, this is an in-depth review that brings important performance improvements in games under DirectX 12and which also introduces support for DLSS 3 and DLSS 2 in many games.

We’ll start by talking about the games that have received DLSS 3 support. The list confirmed to us by NVIDIA is defined as follows:

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem (available October 17).
  • Bright Memory: Infinite (Release Name: Available October 12).
  • F1 22 (update coming soon).
  • Justice ‘Fuyun Court’ new artwork preview (release name: available on October 12) .

NVIDIA improves performance under DirectX 12

And it did so by introducing, as we expected, several improvements at the driver level. Noticeable increase in performance varies depending on each gameor specifically and resolution used but we know it was possible thanks three big keys:

  • Shader compilation optimization.
  • Reduced CPU load to minimize bottleneck impact.
  • Resizable BAR profiles for Forza Horizon 5 and F1 22.

To better illustrate this information, NVIDIA has provided specific performance figures indicating the percentage increase we can expect in various games after installing these new drivers. At best we have a 25% increaserecorded in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and at worst 5%.
