Microsoft has decided to seriously rebrand its key product, the Microsoft Office software suite. 30 years after the emergence of Microsoft Office, it was renamed Microsoft 365. The most familiar Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint programs will not go anywhere and be renamed. Only now they will be part of the Microsoft 365 software suite. The company will also change logos, design and add new functionality in the near future.

As you know, Microsoft 365 is not a new name. The first changes to the logo and design will appear on the Office.com website in November, and the Office program for Windows, iOS and Android will be rebranded in January. As a result, programs old and new will gather under the wing of Microsoft 365: Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream and the new Microsoft Designer.

At the same time, the Microsoft Office brand will not disappear permanently. Microsoft will continue to offer one-time purchases of the Office suite for consumers and businesses as part of its Office 2021 and Office LTSC plans. Perhaps this is a temporary measure. Source
