Interesting news for drone users DJI Air 2Sbuilt-in screen control DJI RC will bring drone support back in the month of October according to a Twitter profile @dealsdrone. The RC controller is DJI’s cheapest model with an integrated screen, making it a very interesting option for those looking for a controller that doesn’t depend on their smartphone to control and control their drone.
The big difference with the DJI RC is the built-in screen, eliminating the need for a smartphone next to the controller.
Launched with the Mini 3 Pro drone, the RC (Remote Controller) has already received support for the Mavic 3 family of drones, and after the new update, it will only support 4 models and probably one more in the future, because there will be 3 models from the Mavic 3 family. “normal”, the Mavic 3 Cine and the new Mavic 3 Classic, which should appear and get a lot of Air 2S users as it will bring all the core technologies of the Mavic 3 line, but leaving aside the dual camera system, then bet only on the main camera with 4/3-inch 20MP sensor, supporting 5.1K 50FPS, 4K 120FPS video recording at up to 200Mbps.
After the update, DJI RC will support Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S, and all Mavic 3 models.
Getting back to the RC controls, it has a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with 700 nits brightness as a highlight, and it also has a scroll button differential for direct zoom in the control, an option not available on the traditional RC-N1. Another interesting feature is that there are two customizable buttons on the back. It is important to note that unlike the RC Pro, the RC controller does not support the installation of third-party applications such as Lithi, DroneDeploy, etc., leaving drone control exclusively to DJI Fly.
Supporting O3+ technology, when connected to a compatible drone such as the Mavic 3 models, it will be possible to maintain a control distance of up to 15 km, which is 3 km more than the 12 km supported by the Mini 3 Pro and Air 2S drones that support it. , technology O3. On the O3+, the controller also accepts 1080p 60FPS images.
