In Poland, they demonstrated the process of integrating elements of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAMS) into the Polish air defense system (ADF). Defense24 writes that the air defense system was purchased as part of the first phase of the Wisla program.
It was noted that the elements of the Polish-made air defense system will be combined with the components of the American air defense system during the SICO (System Integration Checkout) process.
Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak noted that the Patriot will become an element of a multi-level air defense system thanks to the IBCS control complex. “Middle tier Patriot, bottom Narew, bottom Piorun supported by Pilica missile systems”said Blaschak.
Poland purchased two Patriot air defense system batteries with the IBCS control system as part of the first phase of the Wisla program. They contain 16 launchers, 208 PAC-3 MSE missiles, radar and checkpoint.
