According to the journalist, Apple is developing two versions of the new tablet with 11-inch and 12.9-inch screens. The devices are coded as J617 and J620. The main feature of the innovations will be the proprietary M2 processor, which is 20% faster than the previous M1 generation.
Gurman also claims that Apple will soon update the core iPad lineup in addition to the Pro lineup. According to the journalist, the name of the innovation in the company is J272. It is noted that the base iPad of the 10th generation will receive a new design, a USB port instead of Lightning, as well as 5G support.
With or soon after the announcement of the new tablets, Apple plans to release a new version of iPadOS under number 16.1.
