iPads 2022 “they will arrive in a few days”says Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, citing the first update to Apple’s line of professional tablets in a year and a half and an improved version of the “budget” iPad.
iPad Pro
Gurman says the new iPad Pro will be sold in two screen sizes that are in the current lineup, 11 and 12.9 inchescodenamed J617 and J620. They would retain the same basic design, finishes, dimensions and Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. No changes in RAM and storage levels are expected either. And it’s because what is considered the “best tablet on the market” needs few changes.
The most important and almost unique suggestion would be chipset apple m2 which is used to connect the latest generation MacBook Air. This SoC is expected to bring a 20% increase in speed. In real-world use, it won’t be as big a jump as the M1 was supposed to be, but it’s not negligible.
iPad
Apple will also introduce a new entry-level tablet, which – if the information is confirmed – will receive more news. For starters, I would have a a new design closer to the design of the iPad Pro and a USB Type-C port for charging and data. Its engine would also be updated with a chipset A14 Bionic.
All iPads for 2022 would come pre-installed with iPadOS 16 and the first update that 16.1 is in the works and that Apple is developing. Bloomberg says the tablets will be announced sometime in the next two weeks, coinciding with the Oct. 27 earnings release.
And another from Apple
In addition to the announcement of the iPad, Apple is preparing other hardware versions in the short term. Cue further versions of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets, and the Mac Mini with M2 in the first update to the small desktop from Cupertino. Other news reported by Bloomberg are an Apple TV with an A14 SoC and 4GB of memory and an independent device that would combine the functions of a tablet and a smart speaker.
