Peripherals and accessories manufacturer Turtle Beach has announced the launch of two new products, the Recon Cloud gaming controller and the Vulcan II Max optical-mechanical keyboard.
The Recon Cloud controller is Turtle Beach’s first foray into the category mobile game controllers and another significant addition to the powertrain from the eponymous brand. The new controller is a hybrid for mobile gamers who play on compatible Android devices, with Xbox Series X|S consoles, Xbox One, as well as Windows PCs.
It connects to Android devices (version 8 or higher and Windows PCs) using a low-latency Bluetooth 5.0 connection and has a battery life of over 30 hours with fast charging. At home, the controller connects to a PC or Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles via a three-meter braided cable.
Exploration cloud follow the design line from the brand’s latest controllers (Recon Controller and REACT-R Controller. E) with ergonomic design, cooling grips and responsive control that seeks the best response from textured triggers and buttons, precise control in 8 directions of the D-pad and smoothness of stick movement.
In addition to the integrated sound functions that are the house brand, this control brings as a novelty an adjustable clip to keep the phone securely in place, covering almost all sizes of mobiles. It includes a free monthly subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and supports other services such as GeForce Now, Stadia and Steam Link.
The Recon Cloud is available in blue or black €99.99 on the Turtle Beach website and at major retailers.
Turtle Beach has also announced the availability of additional peripherals. It is about optical-mechanical gaming keyboard Vulcan II Max, the best-selling line of its other brand, ROCCAT.
This is a model range of enthusiasts for players looking for the best on the market. It features TITAN II optical-mechanical switches, which promise an incredibly high speed of optical control with the feeling of traditional mechanical keys and a durability that the company estimates at more than 100 million clicks.
These switches are compatible with many third-party cross keys for further customization and include a world first: they are the industry’s first DUAL LED to include a second LED light to better indicate the function of the secondary key.
The Vulcan II Max also features other fan-favorite ROCCAT keyboard design elements, such as an aluminum plate
