Market research agency Canalys has released a global report on the smartphone market for the third quarter of 2022. In the third quarter of this year, the global smartphone market shrank 9% year-on-year, making it the worst quarter since 2014.

In particular, the top three manufacturers are Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi with 22%, 18% and 14% shares in the world market, respectively. Xiaomi was the top Chinese manufacturer, while Oppo and vivo took fourth and fifth places with shares of 10% and 9% respectively.

According to Xiaomi’s last quarter financial report, the company achieved an increase in the share of mobile phones in Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other regions.

In terms of supply, Xiaomi ranked in the top three in 55 countries and regions, and in the top five in 67 countries and regions. In Europe, the company ranks second with a market share of 21.7%. In August of this year, Xiaomi was ranked 266th on the Fortune Global 500 list.
