Apple has stopped production of one of its new smartphones. This was reported by Knowledge.

As media reporter Wayne Ma learned from his sources, Apple was not happy with the low demand for the iPhone 14 Plus. According to insider information, the company’s top executives ordered the smartphone manufacturer to immediately cease production of the device – the device went on global sale on October 7.

Sources also said that two Apple suppliers that produce parts for the iPhone 14 Plus have cut their production by 70 and 90 percent.

According to Wayne Ma, Apple’s new phone could not sell due to the economic crisis and high inflation rates amid the global contraction in the smartphone market. The expert also suggested that Apple may have made a mistake in the positioning of the device – the device is noticeably different from the flagship iPhone 14 Pro model, but costs only $ 100 cheaper. Therefore, consumers may prefer the Pro model.

At the same time, Apple does not intend to permanently stop the production of large-screen budget smartphones, the iPhone 14 Plus. Sources said that the company plans to launch the iPhone 15 Plus model in 2023.
