The Chinese specialist in compact computers has announced the launch of two new Mini-PCs of the Venus series, created on the basis of AMD Ryzen processors and with some interesting innovations in the connectivity section.

The first of those announced is EliteMini UM590. It is equipped with a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture. It contains 8 high-performance cores with 16 threads, which offers a large reserve in both gaming and productivity applications. It is manufactured using 7nm processes and reaches a maximum operating frequency of 4.6 GHz.

It features a Radeon 8 iGPU which, while not dedicated graphics, far outperforms other integrated graphics solutions such as Intel’s Intel UHD. It has 8 graphics units and can run at frequencies up to 2100 MHz.

Mini-PC supports up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 memory MHz dual-channel and offers a variety of storage types, M.2 2280 for PCIe SSDs and a 2.5-inch bay that can accommodate both SSDs and SATA hard drives. In terms of connectivity we find:

  • 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port RJ45.
  • 4 USB Type-A ports (USB3.2 Gen2 ×2, USB2.0 ×2)
  • 1 USB 3.2 Type-C × 1 (supports DP 1.4, 4K@60Hz)
  • 1 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (data only, front)
  • 2 HDMI
  • 3.5mm audio jack x 1

The EliteMini UM590 is available in various configurations. In a barebones format for 459 euros so that the user can install his memory, storage and operating system and several options mounted from 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and Windows 11.

The second Mini-PC from the Venus series is EliteMini UM690. It will be available next month and will be the first mini PC with USB4 ports. Even more powerful than the previous one, it features the TSMC-produced Ryzen 9 6900HX in 6nm processes, 8 cores and 16 threads, DDR4 and DDR5 memory support, and integrated Radeon 680M graphics.
