Back on topic, the latest rumors from Bloomberg suggest that this could be the case two variants of the next generation Mac Pro to be released next year. One should have an SoC Apple M2 Ultra with 16 high-performance cores, 8 efficient cores, 76 graphics processing cores and 192 GB of RAMwhile the second option would have a Apple M2 Extreme with a total of 48 cores (core layout not specified), 152 cores for graphics processing and 256GB of RAM. The former is known to run, at least for now, macOS Ventura 13.3.

It’s important to remember that Mac Pros are primarily aimed at professional environments and are far from cheap, aspects that will almost certainly continue with Apple’s supposed jump to Silicon. Despite everything, the Cupertino giant is interested in selling, so anyone who goes through the box can get a unit of these desktops.

It seems that Apple is determined to give Intel the last kick and bet on its own technology, which looks very good so far, especially when we see that the x86 spectrum, at least this year, has preferred to use “brute force” and neglect a little power and temperature. In addition, Apple Silicon is so convincing that even Linus Torvalds, the creator of Linux, decided to use one of these teams, although their support is still extremely green.
