Prominent whistleblower Digital Chat Station reported in a post on Weibo that OPPO is working on an undisclosed mid-range smartphone that will feature a Sony IMX890 sensor developed by the company and a MariSilicon X chip. For the uninitiated, this is an image-based chipset independently designed and developed by the company.

MariSilicon X is built on the 6nm process and features a powerful NPU, advanced ISP and multi-level memory architecture that delivers unmatched power efficiency and incredible performance, enabling real-time 4K AI night video with RAW processing.

Also, Mr. Chat Station reports that the alleged mid-range OPPO will have a curved screen with a hole in the middle. In addition, the rear camera module of the smartphone will have a similar layout to the Reno 9 and will have the “Deco design” of the previous generation models.
