Representatives of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine emphasized that the Iranian manufacturer is carefully trying to hide the country where the Mohajer-6 unmanned aerial vehicle was produced.
A downed enemy drone will help the Ukrainian military identify the weak points of this equipment, which will provide more information for a better fight against them. They say that especially the undamaged samples obtained by the Armed Forces are helpful in this regard.
During the research, Ukrainian military experts reveal the origin of the parts used to manufacture these drones. “When we take a whole sample that we can take apart and see how one system works with another, that’s much better than when we have the parts.”– says the representative of the GUR.
Intelligence officials noted that the Mohajer-6, shot down in September, was literally turned into final gear.
Filling the drone is mostly unfamiliar. The drone is powered by the Austrian Rotax Aircraft Engines engine, Japanese, Chinese and American cameras and a laser rangefinder. These are mainly civilian components that are not considered military goods, but Ukrainian intelligence expects information on their origin to make it difficult for Iran to access these components.
Experts say that they are trying to hide the traces of the country that produced the plane in Iran. But the origin of the drone is given in English inscriptions, with grammatical errors.
“We just found a handcrafted Persian script that they didn’t notice on a device, on the back of the board.”– adds trackers.
The Mohajer-6 multipurpose UAV is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance and fire damage. The maximum take-off weight of the UAV is 600 kg, the payload capacity is 100 kg and the flight range is 200 km. The flight time is 12 hours, the maximum altitude is 5400 meters.
