Northrop Grumman announced on Twitter that the presentation of the B-21 Raider stealth aircraft will take place on December 2, 2022. The manufacturer has released a teaser video showing that the B-21 Raider will dramatically change the balance of power in the world.
The strategic bomber will be presented at the Northrop Grumman plant in California. The company already has six test aircraft and the first flight is scheduled for 2023.
Developed as part of the Long-Range Strike Bomber program, which costs $50 billion, the aircraft will cost around $500-550 million for one bomber.
The US Air Force wants 100 B-21 Raiders and 75 upgraded Boeing B-2 Stratofortresses. At the same time, the service began developing a plan to decommission the B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit bombers.
In December, on October 2, we will showcase the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft. Stay tuned for your first look at the B-21 Raider. https://t.co/y5TJ8wOkY8 pic.twitter.com/SEWbsmVZR3
