New Zealand company Robotics Plus has presented an autonomous robot to assist in the orchard.
As reported by Ukrinform, RNZ reported this.
Robotics Plus CEO Steve Saunders said the hybrid vehicle can perform a wide variety of tasks in the garden, including spraying, weed control, mulching, mowing and crop analysis.
“We have created a flexible farming platform that can adapt to different types of crops with tools for different applications, enabling year-round automation and maximizing the use of machines,” he said.
He said an autonomous vehicle could reduce stress on labor-strapped gardeners.
“However, it does much more than replace (robot – ed.) labor – it’s packed with intelligence to increase productivity,” Sanders said. Said.
As Ukrinform reports, a drone that can prevent fruit theft from orchards is being tested in central Japan.
