International Rotary 2440th Regional Federation DigiverseRotary Club organized a “Digital Youth Festival” for young people in collaboration with Manisa Rotary, İzmir and Magnesia Rotaract Clubs. 75 people from different professions and students took part in the digital festival, which included various panels, social activities and two-day one-on-one meetings with guest speakers who are experts in digital transformation.
DigiverseRotary Club, one of the first dedicated clubs of the Rotary 2440th District Federation, newly established this year, broke new ground and hosted a seminar on the requirements of age towards digitalization. The digital transformation club “Digiverse”, which includes the process of finding solutions to social and sectoral needs with the integration of digital technologies and, accordingly, the development and change of work flows and living culture, organized its first event as “Digital Transformation Youth Festival” in organized in collaboration with Manisa Rotary, İzmir and Magnesia Rotaract Clubs.
In the opening speech of the seminar, moderated by DigiverseRotary Club member Burcu Koca and guest speakers, each of whom is an expert in their field and has at least 25 years of work experience, DigiverseRotary Club President Altan Yücel said: “Digitalization is the equivalent of Industry 3.0, Industry 4.0 is the artificial nature of these digitized processes, intelligent and autonomous by intelligence, and Industry 5.0 is the necessity of this evolution for the benefit of people, society and the environment.With such events, we want to provide our youth with an infrastructure to be prepared are on the future to come.”
Hakan Sarbanoğlu, who was identified as a graduate of Geographical Information Systems from Boğaziçi University, expert in big data analytics and digital transformation information systems, and architect of digital transformation, who was the first to speak at the seminar, introduced young people to the digital world on the topics “Digital Transformation, Robotic Coding, Augmented Virtual Reality, Big Data and Cloud Technologies”. Immediately afterwards, industrial engineer CMS Jant Deputy General Manager Erden Ergökmen gave informative presentations on “Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things”, and computer engineer Hugo Boss Information Technologies Group Manager Erkut Ekinci gave informative presentations on “Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Applications”. Mehmet Çimşir, mechanical engineer, owner of Vizyon Danışmanlık Company, which has held senior positions in Turkey and abroad, gave information to the young people about the importance of “Lean Thinking”, while Imbat Air Conditioning and Cooling Systems Factory Manager Mehtap Sayhan said While Hasan Kemahlı, the chairman of the board of directors of Projes, Production Engineer, explained the “Production Execution System”, Evrim Selvi, the Turkish representative of Action Coach, Electrical Engineer, led the teamwork of the innovation group.
The “Digital Youth Festival”, for which 200 people had registered via social networks and a total of 75 young professionals from different professions and students were selected, ended with group work and an award-winning quiz on the information presented in the panels.
