Military-industrial company Lockheed Martin, the largest contractor for the US Department of Defense, showed an example of a sixth-generation fighter created as part of the Next Generation Air Domination (NGAD) program. This was reported by the American publication The Drive.
The image featured in the post shows the fighter refueling from an air tanker Lockheed Martin is working on.
The publication states that the NGAD aircraft pictured is made according to the tailless aerodynamic scheme and features an elongated fuselage that tapers sharply to the nose and a diamond-shaped wing with straight leading and trailing edges.
Drive writes that the images released by Lockheed Martin of the NGAD aircraft do not show air intakes that, according to the publication’s assumption, may have been hidden under the fuselage or may not have been intentionally shown in the drawing.
