While Patch Tuesday is designed to deliver important security updates, it can often cause serious problems elsewhere. After installing KB5018410 or later updates, OneDrive may close unexpectedly and you may receive an error message when you try to:

  • Sign out of the Microsoft OneDrive sync app or disconnect your account.
  • Disconnect from syncing sites or folders from Microsoft SharePoint or Microsoft Teams sites to your device.
  • Uninstalling the OneDrive sync app may not be successful.

note. These issues can affect both OneDrive and OneDrive for Business

Affected platforms :

Customer : Windows 10, version 22H2; Windows 10, version 21H2; Windows 10, version 21H1; Windows 10, version 20H2
Server : No

Currently, Microsoft has not provided a solution or solution to the problem. The company said it is investigating and plans to release a fix next week.
