Xiaomi has launched Mi TV ES70 with a 70-inch 4K display and multi-segment backlight support. The TV offers a screen resolution of 3840x2160p with a screen ratio of 97.8%. It also offers good professional display-level color accuracy and a wide 94% DCI-P3 color gamut. It supports a 1.07 billion color display and an additional MEMC motion frame.

One of the main advantages of the Xiaomi TV ES70 is the backlight technology, which consists of several parts. It supports 4096 dimming levels with a maximum brightness of 700 nits. Its built-in super resolution algorithm helps with real-time image analysis and noise reduction. The TV works great even when playing a low resolution movie as it can go up to 4K resolution in such a scenario. The TV uses a quad-core MediaTek MT9638 A55 processor with a combination of 2GB + 32GB memory and storage.

In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi TV ES70 supports 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi and supports Dolby and DTS dual decoding. It has dual channels with two powerful 12.5W sound systems. The TV also supports voice control with Xiao Ai. It can also connect to Xiaomi’s smart ecosystem and compatible with Android, iOS, Windows and Mac for screen projection. Xiaomi TV ES70 has three HDMI interfaces, two USB ports, an AV input, a network port and an antenna interface. The TV retails for 4,499 yuan (~$621) in China.
