The Turkish defense industry has added a new domestically developed kamikaze drone to its range of unmanned aerial vehicles. The new drone called Deli was developed by Titra Teknoloji.

Titra Teknoloji CEO Davut Yılmaz said that they have developed a fixed-wing kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicle that can be launched manually or by catapult, as low-cost as possible.

Deli, which can be operated alone and manually, can be easily transported thanks to its modular structure and is ready for use in less than 15 minutes.

With the protection against obstacles, the level of safety has been increased, and the Deli can reach a cruising speed of 80 km/h and a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The crazy drone can climb to a maximum height of 3,500 meters, and its working height is 150-500 meters. It carries a warhead weighing about 3.1 kg.

The warhead to be used in the Kamikaze drone was developed by the Defense Industry Research and Development Institute (SAGE) affiliated to the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).

Davut Yılmaz also stated that their products have three main advantages compared to similar products in the market, – “It’s profitable first. This kamikaze drone is better because it’s cheap and you won’t use it twice. The second advantage is the drone’s warhead, and the third advantage is its autonomy.”.
