Mengtian, the second lab module of the Tiangong space station, docked at the forward port of the space station’s main Tianhe module at 04:27 Beijing time on Tuesday after entering its planned orbit.
The entire convergence and berthing process took about 13 hours.
According to CMSA, the Mengtian module will be transferred later as scheduled.
Thus, the Mengtian module, together with the Tianhe main module and the Wentian laboratory module, will form a T-shaped structure, which is the main structure of the Chinese space station.
As Ukrinform reported, on Monday (October 31st), China successfully launched the final module of the Tiangong space station.
