On Fools’ Day, Twitter announced it’s working on an edit button. While it may seem like a joke at first, now it is not. In addition to Twitter confirming that it is working on the feature, at least two engineers have stated that the feature has already been implemented. That’s what we still know about it. On April 1, developer Nima Ouji announced that Twitter is actually working on an edit button, which was approved by engineer Alessandro Paluzzi.
At this point, click on the three dots above the post on the Internet and select “Edit Tweet”. Currently, you can edit the entire post, although it is impossible to update the post.
Ouji was able to provide some information about this future feature. For example, it seems that users won’t be able to change their audience after editing the tweet. In addition, this feature will be exclusive to Twitter Blue subscribers.
It remains unclear how long users will need to edit a tweet, or Twitter will freeze quote retweets, or the possibility of a retweet. So far, the company has just started implementing the edit button in the web version, as none of the engineers have written about this feature for iOS and Android devices.
Below you can check how the following Twitter edit button should work:

Also, Twitter continues to work on the Circle feature and an updated profile page, which will be somewhat similar to the Close Friends feature on Instagram. Release dates are still uncertain. Not only that, the company is in the middle of a storm as Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to buy the entire platform.
