O Google keeps track of purchases at the end of the year and, to help its users, will implement a new feature that tracks their purchases directly in gmail.

New online purchase tracking feature in Gmail

The announcement of the new feature comes from a Google blog post this Wednesday (02) and promises to make order tracking easier for platform users. According to Google, the new feature will be launched in the coming weeks:

“Over the next few weeks, Gmail will show you a simple and useful view of the package tracking and shipping information in your inbox. For orders with tracking numbers, Gmail will display your current delivery status in your inbox and in a summary card at the top of individual emails. Package tracking will be available with most major US carriers and will quickly provide important information such as estimated arrival date and status such as Label Created, Arrive Tomorrow, or Delivered Today.“.

Package tracking updates can only be used from your inbox or Gmail settings, which will automatically look up the order status using your tracking numbers and “toss them” into your inbox. You can opt out at any time in your Gmail settings.

In addition, in later updates – over the next few months – Gmail will display a delay label, moving the email to the top of the inbox. This will make it even easier to track packages so they don’t get “lost” in your emails.

This feature is not yet predicted here in Brazil, but it will certainly be another great addition to Google services, concentrating all your orders in just one monitoring place, without having to search for emails or visit the websites of delivery services to find out the status of your online purchases,
