Company titer It is developing Turkey’s first unmanned helicopter. Alp. Titra undertakes to assemble 10 Alpine helicopters every year in addition to the 250 kamikaze drones it currently produces in its factories. The Turkish government has included the project in the list of priority investments, which means that the company will receive government subsidies.
One of the officials told the media that the state will begin purchasing drones after successful completion of field tests, hoping to export the new equipment to other countries.
The Alpin design is based on the Italian ultralight helicopter piloted by the Heli-Sport CH-7. The drone has a length of 7 m, a width of 1.5 m, a height of 2.35 m and a propeller diameter of 6.28 m.
The 115 horsepower Rotax 914 UL engine allows you to develop speeds of up to 160 km/h and climb heights of up to 5 km. At the same time, the maximum flight range is 840 km, and its duration is 7 hours without anything or 2 hours with a full load.
The device weighs only 340 kg, so it can be transported in trucks. The helicopter itself can lift 200 kg payload (including fuel) and simultaneously carry several modules, such as synthesized aperture hyperspectral radars, electron-optical or infrared cameras.
The broadband satellite communication channel allows you to transmit information to operators in real time and work even in remote areas. The developers equipped the Alpin with an autopilot system that provides automatic take-off and landing with turns. It is recommended to be used in military and civilian purposes and rescue operations. Source
