Due to the imposition of a curfew in Shanghai, the production of Apple devices was threatened.
Apple’s three main suppliers are in Shanghai: Pegatron, Quanta and Compal, which have been suspended due to obvious restrictions. And if this situation continues, the supply problem will continue, which will cause Apple to stop production.
The only way out is to direct orders from the above companies to Foxconn’s capacity. But the main thing is that the quarantine lasts no more than two months, no more than two weeks, as analysts feared. Otherwise, Apple’s shutdown will come true – about 6-10 million iPhones will not be released.
“Apple may consider forwarding orders from Pegatron to Foxconn, but we expect volume to be limited due to a logical issue and difficulty setting up the hardware,” said Eddie Hahn, senior analyst at Isaiah Research.
