OrangeDAO has partnered with small venture fund Press Start Capital to create the OrangeDAO X Press Start Cap Scholarship Program to sponsor and assist Web3 “pioneers”.
Successful candidates will receive $25,000 each, 10 weeks of structured mentoring and permanent access to the OrangeDAO network of over 1,200 members. In return, OrangeDAO and Press Start get the opportunity to invest in companies “after all” if created by program participants.
Tech columnist Robert X. Kringley explains that he believes this “middle-class venture capital” model will “proliferate and grow indefinitely” and will eventually export itself from Silicon Valley to cities around the world.
OrangeDAO has big plans and attracted $80 million in venture capital for their implementation in August, and these scholarships were the first direction to use that capital.
