The Gateway Mini PC T8-Pro It is, like many other products of its kind, a mini-PC with relatively modest functions, but its size and low power consumption allow it to perform functions that are not usually typical of a desktop computer in a more natural way. Its main feature is the inclusion of two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, so it can be configured as a firewall or router. It goes without saying that games are discarded, with the exception of very old and/or very undemanding titles.

The computer that concerns us in this post uses a processor Intel Celeron N5095, which is quad-core (four cores), is based on the Jasper Lake architecture, and has a power consumption of 15 watts. It’s clear from this that we’re not dealing with an executive team, but if you know what you’re buying it for, it can be an interesting option.

At the RAM level, it contains only 8GB LPDDR4X along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage for data via NVMe SSD in M.2 format. Although it is capable of supporting 16 GB of RAM, there are no units with that amount of memory available, at least for now.

The Gateway Mini PC T8-Pro has a video output three HDMI 2.0 capable of video output up to 4K, two RJ45 ports for gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.1 Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and a power connector. In terms of wireless connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 5 along with Bluetooth 4.2.

The dimensions are 89.4 x 89.4 x 43.5 millimeters and its weight is only 204 grams. The Windows 11 operating system fulfills its requirements, its base price is around 176 euros and it has two disadvantages to consider: the RAM is not user adjustable and it has active dissipation with a fan, so it may not be as quiet as it could be wait.

As we said before, this is not a computer for running heavy processes, but it can be a hit in many contexts of basic use, as a server for small and medium businesses or even as a firewall.
