The new version of the machine received an active protection complex (KAZ), whose radars were installed instead of smoke grenade launchers. KAZ defensive ammunition allows you to intercept anti-tank guided missiles, cluster bombs and rocket-propelled grenades. The VT-4A1 crew will also be able to launch attack aircraft.
VT-4A1 received additional dynamic protection units and new built-in screens on the roof of the tower, which protect the tank from air attacks. The car was also equipped with a new panoramic sight.
The basic version of the VT-4 was presented at the Eurosatory exhibition in 2012. The tank received a 125-millimeter smoothbore gun with an automatic loader and two machine guns.
