IMM’s project aimed at reducing foreign dependency in computer science, IMM Technology Workshops, the new term training is going full steam ahead. In 8 workshops, a total of 1,320 students follow training courses that lay the foundations for technology production, from game design to coding, from artificial intelligence to robotics. Students who receive advanced technology training will represent IMM in international competitions.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, student selection exams were held for the IMM Technology Workshops on September 24 and 25, in collaboration with ISTANBUL (IGFA) – Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Boğaziçi University. 1,320 students who were successful in the exam organized with the participation of 5,000 700 students were allowed to participate in the 8-month training. After the exam results were announced on teklonojiatolyeleri.ibb.istanbul, the training started on October 22. IMM Fatih Ali Emiri Cultural Center, Ümraniye Haldun Alagaş Sports Complex, Tuzla İdris Güllüce Cultural Center, Esenyurt Municipality Cultural Center, Bakırköy Cem Karaca Cultural Center, Beyoğlu Zemin Istanbul, Güngören İBB Erdem Beyazıt Cultural Center and Pendik Dolayoba to at 8 points at the workshops trainings; The students of the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th grade are present.
ENCODING, PROGRAMMING, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE…
Workshops held each weekend by 48 instructors provide training on non-computer science activities, computer game design and development, graphic design and production for 4th and 5th grade students. The courses of 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th grade students are organized in the fields of programming and coding, mobile application development, graphic design, artificial intelligence, robotics applications and project development.
WILL PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
1,355 students who attended the workshops last year graduated with a ceremony attended by İBB chairman Ekrem İmamoğlu. Youth and Sports Directorate IMM has started to set up a special team with the participation of 40 students, to be determined from the graduates. After the creation of the team, students will be included in advanced technology training. Students can represent İBB by participating in international and national technology competitions with the projects they will produce.
