Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said this in an interview with Reuters, Ukrinform reported.

“We will try to find money. We have partners in different countries. We will ask them to help us, we will also ask them to help us financially.”

The publication noted that the Air Force relied on the thousands of Starlink devices deployed on the front lines where normal cellular signal is not available or easily intercepted.

SpaceX owner Elon Musk has previously publicly complained about the financial costs SpaceX has allocated to operate the Starlink satellite terminals in Ukraine. However, later still promised to continue to offer services “free of charge”.

In an interview with Reuters, Reznikov said, “We have received a promise from him that he will continue to serve our Starlinks in Ukraine.”

He also noted that SpaceX provides free communications from “some” satellites, while Ukraine pays for others. At the same time, the minister did not give specific figures.

Ukraine’s defense minister also said the Starlink dispute was “a challenge but not that big of a problem”.

According to the news of Ukrinform, approximately 1,300 Starlink terminals, which Ukraine bought from the British company in March and used for military operations, were closed at the end of October.
