The Chinese government has successfully launched a new Yaogan-34 remote sensing satellite into space.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Xinhua.
The Yaogan-34 03 satellite was launched by a Changzheng-4B launch vehicle from Jiuquan Space Base in northwest China at 09:38 Beijing time on Tuesday.
It successfully entered the given orbit.
This remote sensing satellite will be used for land resources survey, urban planning, crop yield assessment, and natural disaster prevention and mitigation.
This launch was noted to be the 450th launch for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
As Ukrinform reports, the CAPSTONE satellite has entered lunar orbit, which the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to use for its future Gateway space station.
