Focus Home Entertainment has confirmed the minimum and recommended requirements we will need to port Evil West to PC, which will be set in an alternate wild west loaded with anachronisms and spiced with a unique aesthetic. It will be focused primarily on third-person action, and the truth is that the compatible version will be quite affordable.

In addition to the requirements for the PC version as well the graphics quality modes that this game will have on consoles have surpassed, and the truth is that there is something that doesn’t quite sit right with us. We’ll start with the requirements first and then look at the Evil West mods on consoles.

Evil West Minimum Requirements

• Windows 10 64-bit operating system.
• Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX 6300 processor.
• 8 GB of RAM.
• GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Radeon RX 460 graphics card.

With this configuration we can play it 1080p with medium quality and maintaining a steady 30 FPS. It’s not bad at all, especially considering that we’re talking about a configuration that’s already a few years old.

There are no serious equivalence errors in requirements, although the Radeon RX 460 is more powerful than the GeForce GTX 750 Ti.

Evil West recommended requirements

• Windows 10 64-bit operating system.
• Intel Core i5-10505 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor.
• 16 GB of RAM.
• GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 590 graphics card.

If we meet these requirements, we can play 1080p and maximum quality while maintaining 60 FPS stable. We won’t need a particularly powerful computer, and the graphics cards shown as recommended were released in 2016 and 2017.

In this case we have an equivalence error in the CPU and another in the equivalence of graphics cards. The Intel Core i5-10505 is more powerful than the Ryzen 5 1600, and the closest would be the Ryzen 5 3600. In terms of GPU, the closest to the GeForce GTX 1060 would be the Radeon RX 580.

Evil West on consoles: modes and quality

The Xbox One and Xbox One S versions will continue to work 1080p@30FPSand the same will happen with the Xbox Series S, although we think it will offer a higher level of graphic quality. On the Xbox One X, the game will run in 4K and 30 FPS, and on the Xbox Series X it will have two modesa “quality” mode at 4K and 30 FPS and a “performance” mode at 1080p at 60 FPS.

On PS4 and PS4 Pro, there will only be one mode in which the game will run 1080p and 30 FPS, although it will have a higher graphic quality in the pair. Finally, we have the PS5 version, which will have the same modes as the Xbox Series X version, one in 4K and 30 FPS and another in 1080p and 60 FPS.

Gives that Evil West feel It doesn’t seem to be well optimized for current generation consoles in its version, especially with regard to its recommended requirements. Versions for previous generation consoles are another thing, as the Xbox One does not meet the minimum requirements and despite all the Evil West on said console it runs in 1080p and 30 FPS.
